Build a Bear

Emi made her first Build a Bear this weekend. Auntie Jeanie and Uncle Marc had gave Emi a gift card for her first Christmas and we decided that she was ready to use it today! Emi was a little distracted by all the accessories at first, she eventually decided on Shaggy the dog! Thank you Auntie Jeanie and Uncle Marc! Emi almost went for the tan Hello Kitty! I was excited but then she went back for Shaggy the dog...maybe next time ;)

Emi Making Sushi

I decided to try to make a sushi roll tonight (with egg and cucumber) and it didn't turn out very pretty. So instead of making a roll Emi found an easier way to make it! We made this video for Daddy to see since he wasn't home yet.

By the way, when I say, "little baby," that's what I called the mini sushi roll that Emi is making.

Baby #2 Update

We had our 15 week check up (8/16 sorry I didn't get a picture up until now!). The baby's heart beat sounded good and everything else was normal. Next month we find out if Emi will have a little sister or brother, stay tuned! :)

Happy 2nd Birthday Emi!

It's Emi's 2nd birthday already! We had a fun day with our friends Asher and Jake, then home for dinner with mommy and daddy. Emi got a surprise visit from Auntie Dorene, Danielle, Corey, Emma, and Collin--thank you so much for the balloons Emi is really enjoying them! Emi also got a visit from Grammie and Uncle Justin. She also had some birthday phone calls from Po Po, Auntie Jeanie and Grandpa, she was quiet the talker tonight.

We didn't want to over load her with cake (I know even though it's her real birthday) so instead Erich made her chocolate pudding. It was her first time eating pudding and she liked it a lot!

We got her some things to go with it but unfortunately the mail key for packages didn't work! We will have to see if we can catch the mail carrier tomorrow to get her presents out...what a bummer!

Night and Day!

Emi is so happy that her Daddy is up and moving around today! It's amazing how refreshing a shower can be! Erich was getting a little concerned about how he was feeling (chills and hot flashes) after talking with the on call doctor we checked to make sure his knee was not getting infected and then she gave him the ok to shower! What a difference that made in his mood and over all appearance :) We are so glad you are feeling better!

Recovering...

Erich had knee surgery on Monday and came home in great spirits and no pain! The second day wasn't too bad either, then it went down hill...today (Saturday) he is hanging in there and trying to keep an appetite so he can continue his medication schedule. Poor guy, poor Daddy!

I don't really have any pictures to share but when Emi saw Erich for the first time after his surgery she remembered us leaving for the doctor's because the first thing she said to Erich was, "What'd the doctor say?" and they "Daddy owie." It's been hard for Emi not to have her Daddy to play and to be quieter than usual. Erich's looking forward to his post opt. appointment on Tuesday and his physical therapy so he can get back to moving around again.

Big Sister in Training!

Emi is a big sister in training! She has always loved playing with babies and today she did a great job with baby Avery.

Emi just adores Avery, every time she sees her she just wants to touch her and smiles at her, it's very sweet.

It's official, we are expecting baby #2 in February! We are SO excited! I am 13 weeks along in this picture. The first trimester went pretty fast, I did have some morning sickness (more at night time) but am feeling like I have more energy now. We will find out September 20th if our new little bundle will be a boy or a girl.


In addition to adding to our family we also got a new car, well van. I never thought I would have one of these but I think it will make life a lot easier with 2 kiddos. I like to call it the mini :)

Caleb and Leah's Birthday Party

We celebrated Caleb's 3rd birthday and Leah's 1st birthday today, it was a lot of fun! It wasn't warm enough for Emi to play at the spray park but she enjoyed playing on the playground with all the other kids. Thanks for a great afternoon!

Flat Iron Grill

We had a nice dinner at Flat Iron Grill with Gung Gung, Po Po, Auntie Jeanie and Uncle Marc. Emi enjoyed her mac and cheese and of course had a cheesy smile to go along with it! Thanks everyone for helping us out with our yard work while we were gone!
