Babymoon at the Salish Lodge

We spent the weekend at the Salish Lodge. It was nice to get away and the weather was beautiful! Our room was cozy, with it's very own wood burning fireplace-of course Erich has to light it up, so we had a roaring fire. We had a relaxing time out there and watched a beautiful sunset. This morning we woke up and had a leisurely breakfast in a small room with only four other tables near the windows outlooking the falls. Now we are refreshed and ready for our work week to begin...well I wish I could have one more day :) It's always hard to go back to work after a week off. 48 days of school left!

24th week check up

We had our 24th week appointment with Dr. Hyde on Friday. Everything is going well, we will have our next appointment at 28 weeks. We'll have an ultrasound so it's always fun to see our little baby growing bigger each time.

Spring Break!

I'm so glad it's Spring Break, I get a week off from work to relax and get some things done. I have been feeling great this trimester. There are only 48 more days of school this year, so not too much longer to go!

Everyone is so excited to meet Baby Smick, including us! We have been given such cute baby clothes, hand knit booties, and toys by family and friends, our baby girl is going to be so loved by everyone-thank you! I've been feeling the baby move a lot more now, it's so amazing. We also listen to Baby Einstein music, which I think she likes.

Hopefully we will sell the townhouse soon so that we can start putting together a nursery at our new house before the baby comes and while I still have the energy. Erich is doing great too, he continues to be supportive and helpful. We are trying to take walks on the weekends if the weather is nice. It won't be too long before it's not just the two of us anymore, so we are trying to find time to spend together between working, eating, and sleeping (which I do a lot of).

We have a doctor's appointment on Friday the 11th so I will update again soon!
