Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas this year filled with lots of love, laughter and fun memories. First thing Christmas morning the 3 of us had breakfast and opened presents! Emi was a little more into opening gift this year, I think next year she will really be excited! After opening a few gifts we had to break for a diaper change, and then after Emi's gifts were all opened it was time for a nap.

Erich and I took some time to just relax before heading over to Grammie Valarie's and Uncle Justin's. We enjoyed a delicious lunch- sukiyaki - and visited with Bill, Magi, and James.

After lunch Emi took a little break and headed to Po Po and Gung Gung's house where Auntie Jeanie, Uncle Marc, Auntie Natalie and Uncle Justin were ready to celebrate with Emi.

Emi got some new toys and clothes (thank you everyone!). Erich was so sweet, he got me a Flip recorder, which means I will be able to take more videos of Emi to share on the blog! Thanks deary!
We hope that everyone had a fun filled Christmas too!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we had lunch with Grandpa Greg. He gave Emi this Santa that she wasn't too sure about at first but then she warmed up to him. Thank you for meeting up with us it was so good to see you Grandpa! Love, Emi

She also too a few spins on her favorite carousel.

Later that evening we had dinner at Christine and Eric's. It was a fun night with the Lam side of the family. Emi liked playing with Davey the latest addition to the family! Thanks for a great night!

As we shopped for gifts this holiday season Emi became interested in exploring the escalators...Erich and Emi would take rides up and down whenever they had to wait for me to stand in line.

Where has Emi been?

I feel like my brain is on it's own little vacation...I never used to leave the house without my camera and we've had two playdates where I haven't had my camera! I hate it when that happens! Here are some random and recent pictures of Emi.
Still Daddy's little monkey, they have so much fun during bathtime!
Emi still loves reading her books!
I know this looks bad, we do not encourage Emi eating this way at the dinner table!
Emi had a fever this morning but a little Playstation with Daddy made everything better :)

Christmas Tree

Sorry this post is so late. At first we thought we would buy a fake tree but then I read that it is actually worse for the environment to have a fake tree and that cutting down trees that are planted with the intention of being used as a Christmas tree is not as damaging to the environment that some would think. So the morning after we got home from Hawaii we set off on another adventure, to cut down our Christmas tree! The battery on our camera was running low so we didn't get many pictures. We found our cute tree in North Bend. It was really fun since it was Erich's first time at a tree farm and Emi's too! The other cool thing was that it was snowing and there were horses, chickens, and sheep right next to the property of the tree farm and Emi really enjoyed getting an up close look at all of them!

Emi does not seem to mind that it is snowing and freezing compared to the 80 degree weather that we had just left!
Erich just finished sawing his very first tree!

After cutting down the tree it was a process to get it lit and decorated, I think it took at least 3 days!

Here it is...

First Family Vacation to Hawaii!

We took our first family vacation to Hawaii last week, it was SO much fun! Emi did well on the flight to and fro. We worked really hard to keep her entertained! Here are pictures from our trip. The first 2 nights we stayed in Waikiki and the last 4 nights we were in Ko'Olina. The weather was perfect and beautiful, our trip was very relaxing as we did not plan to do much :) Emi was very good to us, we tried to keep her on the same nap schedule. She did pretty well giving us time to enjoy the beach and the pool during her naps! We can't wait until we can go back again! Thanks for taking us to the airport!
Emi wanted to pull our suitcase all by herself!
On the tram
Aloha!

Part 1: Waikiki

I need to catch up on other stuff so I will upload the pics from the second part of out trip another time, soon!!!

Shopper!

I think we've got a shoe lover already!

I have a really great video but stupid blogger didn't upload it...all that time for nothing! I will try again... Emi also found the perfect size vaccuum to match the one that we have at home!

Unle Trent's Birthday Dinner

We were invited to celebrate Trent's birthday with him and his friends and family. Dinner was at Boom Noodle in Bellevue. What a fun place it was down there, Snowflake lane all lit up and the drummers were out as we were making our way through the busy side walk. A great way to get into the holiday spirit!

Jayden: "Hi Emi, I remember you now! It's been too long!"
Jayden 12 months, Emi 15 months, Nathan 19 months
Nathan: "Isn't my Uncle Trent the best?"

How many babies can you hold?

Happy Birthday Trent! Thanks for inviting us!
