Little Artist

Emi loves art! She hasn't used her dot dabbers in a while so she asked for them this afternoon. She didn't really dot with them but she did color this whole page orange! Thanks to Auntie Jeanie, Uncle Marc and Melanie, Emi has this super cool art smock to keep her mess free! Her favorite thing to do at school is paint and do arts and crafts at the round table. She always comes home with lots of "mail" we get lovely paintings, envelopes filled with hand cut paper and tape. I love her creativity!

Auntie Bekah Visits

The highlight of every spring is our visit from Auntie Bekah! Emi was SO excited that Auntie Bekah was coming from Spokane to stay with us for a few days. We had a great visit together and she is wonderful with the girls. The weather was semi nice, we rode bikes, went to the park, ate at her favorite restaurants and she helped me with the kids! Thank you for coming out, we will see you in Spokane this summer!

Spring Weather

Erich and the girls were enjoying the sunny weather today! It was sunny and 60 degrees outside, so after nap time they headed outside (with Uncle Justin too, but he wasn't in any of these pictures). We are looking forward to more sunshine and warmth!

Melanie and Kenzi are just 6 months apart...

Melanie sits in this booster just about every morning while Emi and Kenzi eat breakfast.  She really enjoys being at the table with them and making cute faces while we eat.

We had to break out the sunglasses on this morning.  Look who is ready for the sun!

It's been a while since I've posted of picture of these 3 buddies. Fridays are more fun with our little friend Nathan! Kenzi is really getting into playing with Nathan and Emi and it's fun to see how they include her more and more. Can't wait for Kasen {Nathan's lil brother 8 months} to join them!

Turtle Riding

Emi asked if we could borrow Melanie's turtle toy...so the next day these fun toy arrived. This toy is more for Kenzi's age but Emi loves it too, it's so fun sharing toys with their cousin!

Monkey Shirts

Emi picked these shirts out for her and Kenzi.  They don't really look green in the picture (they are more lime green) anyways she say these and wanted them as her "green" for St. Patrick's Day at school...this was right before getting ready to hop in the car for school!

Bad Day!

This was probably one of the hardest days I ever had with the little girls...Kenzi wanted mommy and Melanie wanted to be held. Emi was not enjoying the crying so she went to the stamp room to work wtih the door closed.  I tried taking turns holding each one but that just made the crying worse so I decided to capture the moment on camera.  They both calmed down after about 30 minutes, phew!

Kenzi's 1st Birthday Party

For Kenzi's 1st birthday we celebrated with family and a few close friends.  Kenzi did not take her morning nap like usual that day, I guess she was a little too excited to see everyone.  Here she is below with her buddy Kasen. {For those of you who haven't seen this lil cutie before, he is Emi's lil friend Nathan's brother, pretty cute huh?}

Auntie Sonia who put her down for her nap.

Kenzi 12 Months

Look at this lil muffin...she is 12 months old today!  I think Emi was used to smiling for the camera because I was always in her face with it...Kenzi...well she doesn't get chased around with a camera as much.  She does smile a lot though!

On Kenzi's birthday she began to walk more than crawl.

I thought this picture of Emi was cute, she looks so proud of her lil sis.

Another thing that Kenzi decided she should do on her first birthday was to use a spoon!
Since her birthday she has been interested in self feeding which I was struggling to get her to do before.

On her birthday we had a special dessert.  Strawberries and whip cream.
There she is waiting patiently, wondering what that glowing stick of fire was on top of that
white pile of red fruit.

Emi was sweet and patient waiting to see how Kenzi was going to like her dessert.

Then she offered to help...so sweet.  Kenzi and Emi enjoyed their  strawberries and whip cream treat!
