We also went to the fair after swimming since Erich had the day off! Emi was a little scared of the live animals but after a little while she warmed up and would point to some of them...but she didn't really want to pet any of them.

After we got home Emi decided she needed to take over my planner. So with pen in hand she was walking around the kitchen pretending to write in the planner and flip the pages, so funny!

Daddy took the day off from work today and joined Emi in the pool! She had fun splashing in the pool with him and I enjoyed watching the two of them!

Uncle Al and Auntie Sandra meet Emi!

My Uncle Al and Aunt Sandra were visiting from MN this week. We were so happy they could come over and meet Emi! Emi loved reading books with Auntie Sandra and showed off all her tricks. We hope to see you guys again soon!

Red Robin

Emi had her first real kids meal at Red Robin this weekend. She was trying Daddy's pineapple slice and I thought the face she made was funny...the pineapple made her face pucker but she liked it!

The Kirkland Triathlon

Erich and Trent completed the Kirkland Triathlon today. This is Erich's 3rd this season, he has another one next weekend in Black Diamond. Sorry we couldn't be there for this one...maybe next week! Good job guys!

Uh-oh!

This is what I get for putting in a load of laundry and leaving Emi to "play" in her play room. Emi remembered that Grandma had a baggy of animal crackers in the stroller...so she decided it was time for a snack! The pictures are blurry because she was trying to grab as many crackers as she could before I got to her...she is a smart cookie!

Gud Fest

We went to Gud Fest at the Redmond Town Center today. There were a few booths showcasing activities that you could do with your child(ren). When we first arrived we saw Mr. McGruff (I think that's his name!) Emi was not thrilled, she actually got really scared, poor thing...

Then we stopped by a kiwi booth, did you know that kiwis might be the most powerful fruit out there? It's loaded with vitamins and it's yummy! Here are just a few shots, Emi was pretty traumatized from the first photo so there weren't many more after that...

Little Green Frog

Emi was watching Daddy mow the lawn this morning. Then, Daddy stopped the mower and we were wondering why...then he showed us this little green frog. He wanted to give Emi a closer look later so we kept it in this tub. After the lawn was mowed Erich showed Emi the cute little green frog (it was raining then so we stayed inside) and then we set it free! When Erich was mowing the front yard he found another frog, this one was darker, Emi and I were outside getting the mail so she got a really good look at the second frog...she didn't think much of it though.

Shopping!

Emi loves going out, she has just learned the sign for shoes. Today we put her shoes on and took a trip down south, we had the car serviced in Auburn and spent the afternoon down there until it was finished. It was also Grandpa's birthday day but for some reason we didn't take any pictures! Sorry Dad!

Jacob, Joshua & Emi

Jake and Josh have started coming over for some tutoring and playtime with us! I've enjoyed spending time with Jake and Josh, it's so great to see them on a regular basis. These two boys are so kind and well mannered, I've known them since they were babies and now they are 5 and 7! Emi really enjoys being around the boys too, they are like her big brothers. It's so sweet to watch and listen to Jake and Josh play with Emi, they are always reminding each other to be careful with her. I love it!

Relaxin'

Emi really knows how to kick her feet up and take a load off. She still fits in her swing and likes napping here a few times a week instead of her crib!

Making Music

I found some instruments from my classroom, cleaned them off and let Emi discover all the sounds that she could make with the maracas and xylophone.

Emi is so fun to watch each day! She is growing up so quickly and loves exploring everything. Here she is learning how to use the label maker. Mommy says this is a must have!
Emi asked for me to get the robotic dog down for her (Auntie Natalie brought it over for her to play with)...Emi wants to see it but gets scared when it barks and walks towards her...I don't think we are ready for a doggie yet.

Emi has such a sweet smile. We love you so much!
